“Every year, immigrants enter Canada where many settle in big cities and never get the chance to experience the impressive landscapes that surround them. These paintings are interpretations of the calm beauty I have found in places away from the hustle and bustle of urban life. The farm scenes are close to my heart; they are reminiscent of the orphanage’s farm in Uruguay, the place where I grew up free, cherished and happy.”
